Situated on 50 acres in South Padre Island, between the shallow Laguna Madre and the majestic Gulf of Mexico, the World Birding Center is the perfect place to experience the scenic wonders of the beautiful South Texas Coast. The preserve is home to wetland birds, butterflies, migrating songbirds, stunning beaches, and a boardwalk for easy wildlife viewing. Experienced guides offer interesting tours and educational programs.
Open daily from 9am-5pm.
Day passes are $2-$5 per person depending on age. Children 4 and under enter free.

The Center offers guided tours, nature and wilderness walks, and float trips through nine unique locations - from wetlands to forests to riverside woodlands and scenic bluffs above the Rio Grande. Visitors can also enjoy a self-guided experience along a 120-mile historic river road, viewing boardwalks and special exhibits.
